Holding Page

Welcome to my blog!
I've decided to set this up to share a little bit about the walks that we do, what books I read and basically our life in general. I intend to keep adding different links and information along the way, so please come back from time to time and see what there is, and feel free to comment on anything.

May already!

Is it really May already? Where does the time go? Our holiday now feels like it's been months since, and that's without being back at work a full week!

The last few days have been pretty manic. A friend at work asked me if I'd make a bracelet for her daughter for next week, in yellow. Sounds easy enough? But not knowing if she wants a stretch bracelet or not, or what charms or beads to use, it's created a bit of a headache for me. So I've come up with a few options for her to take home on Tuesday next week. Yellow beads can come in a variety of shades, so I've had quite a few to play around with, along with the charms.

I've also been at my friends for the past couple of days, helping her make some hanging baskets (we've made about 110 so far in 2 days!). And the good news is that Cheeky is back! If you've been reading my blog for a while you might remember that I posted last year in April to say that there is a swallow who seems to come back each year to my friend's farm. He (we're guessing it's a he) is very, very chatty, and sits very close to the greenhouses. He's arrived back a bit late this year - we were starting to wonder if he wasn't coming back. But he's back, and will no doubt be chattering away to us for the next few weeks.

And DD is away for a few nights now, so we might get a night away (possibly not in the van as it's still been getting a bit chilly at night, and if we don't have electric it can get very cold inside the van). And then hopefully we can get some walking in over the Bank Holiday weekend.
