Welcome to my blog!
I've decided to set this up to share a little bit about the walks that we do, what books I read and basically our life in general. I intend to keep adding different links and information along the way, so please come back from time to time and see what there is, and feel free to comment on anything.

More crafting!

What a busy week so far!

After line dancing  on Monday night, and taking DD out driving on Tuesday night, it was time for a Ladies Lunch on Wednesday and time to show off my own jewellery.

I love being able to put together my own pieces. The lunch was a chance to catch up with friends who have moved to different floors at work.

Yesterday was a long day at work and time to start a bit of packing ready for today. Today I'm heading down to Birmingham with DD for The Clothes Show Live. Two nights away and two days to wander and shop. I think DD is looking forward to seeing some of the Vloggers she follows on Youtube, along with a chance to shop.

I've also parcelled up quite a few pieces of jewellery and sent them across to DD's Auntie. She's been in touch with me a few times this week to order stuff, so it's all been sent now.

And I've also taken a few more items to my hairdressers to sit alongside the other pieces I took in a few weeks ago.

My weeks just haven't got enough hours in them!!

Christmas Puddings!

Yesterday was a busy day. Having got up later than planned and taken DD to work (or rather, letting her drive herself to work for the driving practice), I was busy taking photographs of some items to add to my Etsy shop. It seems to take such a long time to get each item added that before I knew it, it was mid-afternoon and time to start making this years Christmas Puddings.

For those of you who follow tradition, I know that last Sunday was Stir-up Sunday, and I'm a week behind. For those of you who don't follow tradition, my puddings now have 3 1/2 weeks to rest and mature before being steamed again on Christmas Day. And at least they're made now. My Christmas cake that my mum made is being fed on a regular basis to make sure it's nice and moist by Christmas too.

I had a couple of Christmas Puddings left last year and they've been kept sealed in the garage, so I decided to cook one of them to have for dessert last night, and even though it was made 12 months ago, after another couple of hours of being steamed it tasty really good. Can't wait for this years!

Last night I also decided to make some Fimo beads as I've not made any for a few weeks, forgetting how long it takes to make them. So, at 9.30pm last night I was taking them out of the oven!

A busy day all round ......
