Clothes Show Live!

Friday night I picked DD up from work and headed straight down to Birmingham for our two nights away for The Clothes Show Live. We arrived at the hotel just in time to put our suitcases in the room and get to the restaurant for our table booked for 8pm. I decided to book the table, figuring it would be busy as its right next to the NEC. And I was right. It was really busy so I'm very glad we had a table. The food was lovely and we went back to our room quite happy. For all of about a hour.......

By 10pm the heating still wasn't working in the room and we were both quite cold. So I reported it to reception who said they'd reset the heating in the back. But another half an hour of cold air had me back on to reception again, to be told to bear with them as it takes time. By 10.45pm we were both fed up and I went back to reception to be told to wait at least another 20 minutes. I'm afraid at this point I'd had enough and said I'd give it 10 minutes and then they'd better find us a warm room. We were both tired and were waiting to go to bed! It took until 11.15pm for them to move us to a room with heating that worked!

So at least we had heat. However, thinking we'd get a good nights sleep, we were woken early by what sounded like gurgling water and banging. Not good. We reported it to reception and were told it might have been the heating!!!!

Anyway, after a good breakfast we walked to the halls and had a good day wandering round, celebrity spotting and shopping. DD queued to meet a couple of Vloggers who she follows, and while she did that, I went off shopping. A good day all round. Then back to the hotel for food at night.
